One of the great advantages of creating your guideline in MAGICapp is that it is stored as structured data, which enables sharing and reuse in ways that would not be possible from a traditional static document.
As the below illustration outlines, structured data allows for multi-layered interactive formats, integrations, adaptation, automated decision aids and more.
The main dissemination tools are as follows:
- Publication in MAGICapp: your guideline can be published in the MAGICapp interactive format, available openly for readers around the world. In 2024, we have more than 500,000 unique visitors to magicapp.org to read guidelines published there.
- Sharing links: living hyperlinks are a key part of a dissemination strategy. MAGICapp allows you to create links that will not break, and you can pin point specific pieces of content, see more here: Sharing links to content in MAGICapp
- Widgets: pre-designed snippets of code allow you to present MAGICapp content on any website. You can use this to show PICOs or Recommendations, and the end user gets all the interactive functionality of MAGICapp within your website, with minimal effort or technical ability needed from you, see: Recommendation widgets: display your MAGICapp recommendations on other websites | PICO widgets: display your MAGICapp PICOS on other websites
- Decision aids: MAGICapp automatically creates decision aids for your content, providing you with a valuable dissemination and implementation tool for your guideline recommendations. See more: MAGICapp decision aids
- API: using our API, you can access the structured data in your guideline and create whatever interface you want to present that content. This could be a new portal on your website, a mobile phone app or integration into another IT system. This requires technical expertise. See more: Using the MAGICapp API
