How do I attach study data to my outcome?

You can attach systematic reviews/ meta-analysis, primary study data, files (like forest plots) and other references to your outcome. There are many ways you can do this depending on what kind of data you have available.

1. If you have a Systematic review from Cochrane or one made using RevMan, you can create a PICO directly, with all outcomes and study data automatically filled.

2. You can add a Systematic review reference and primary studies without having a file with data.

3. You can add only primary studies

We are working with others, like Covidence and Eppi-reviewer, to also make it possible to get files or automatically pulled data from your projects or Systematic reviews/meta-analysis on their platforms.

2. Add a Systematic review reference and primary studies without having a file with data.
You can add a reference to systematic reviews and primary studies, if they are listed in your reference list.
  1. Go to the Study results column in the outcome in question, and click the pen to edit.
  2. Click the "Add evidence" control.
  3. Add the Systematic review reference, and/or Primary study(ies)
When you have added studies, you can use the autofill option to extract the available data from the added studies, like number of studies, participants and unweighted proportions, if that is added to the primary studies.

Only RevMan files can give you results data, and by that populate the comparisons and outcome pulldown.
